I signed up for a swap a few weeks ago. My partner received my parcel and said theirs would be going out soon. The post-by date was 14th April and nothing has arrived from her. The organiser of the swap kindly sent a general email, asking if everyone had sent their parcels, but she has heard nothing either. I am trying to be kind and think 'maybe something dreadful has happened to her and she has more important things to worry about', but I can't help feeling like I have been had. Crafters tend to feel like a community and share a certain trust that they would not give to other people from the internet. Let's face it, we don't actually KNOW many of them in real life, so it is probably easy to get conned.
The organiser kindly offered to make something for me, but why should she lose out when it was not her fault? It all leaves a rather nasty taste in the mouth. I sincerely hope that I am wrong and it can all be sorted out.

let's hope there is a good explanation.
aww what a shame... :o(
I hope there is an explination...
Oh Chick I hope there is a good reason, you are so right about how you feel about the crafting community, I feel closer to a lot of them than I do some of my 'real' friends so to be let down must really hurt, fingers crossed something can be sorted xx
Maybe her computer is broken so she cant acess her emails or maybe she was whisked away on a surprise holiday by a tall dark stranger.
Hope there is a good reason and you get something soon
That happened in my resin swap- KitschenSink's partner flaked out so now I need to make her something!
I only just heard back from my own partner in the Cat Swap today and the deadline for that was the 19th - There was a note with it explaining troubles she'd been having with her computer so fingers crossed this is a similar situation! x
same thing with my toadstool swap a couple of years ago, i never received anything from my partner. i tend not to do swaps nowadays, think the bloggers who organise 'backtack' may have the right idea as they post a blacklist of all the ones who let down their swap partners, naming and shaming!
Unfortunately real life does sometimes get in the way - I hope your partner has a good reason for not sending you your swap goodies.
