Tubby Thursday

I can't believe that I forgot to post my loss! Last week, I lost 1.5lbs, taking me to a total of 39.5...chuffed! I still have a fair way to go but I am on the downhill path now.

A ring I Bought From Tia's Glass

I have liked the work on this maker's Folksy shop for ages. I happened to be looking through Esty and found her there too. As it happened, I saw this ring and just had to have it. It was a bit of a difficult decision between about 4 or 5 rings in the shop. As you can see, it came beautifully packaged in a lovely box, and an organza bag. Thanks to Tia's Glass for the quick serivce too.

Cards, Cards and More Cards! (part 2)

This card is a real cutie. An A7 in candy colours, made with 'My Mind's Eye' papers. It will also come with a handmade envelope of its own.

This card is an A7 one and I think it is very cute. It is going in my Folksy shop. I have made an envelope to go with it, from a template I created after much huffing and puffing!

MORE Valentine Cards!

I LOVE this card and am putting it in my Folksy shop (see link on right). It comes with a handmade envelope too. I think scrolls are the way to go for me at the moment!

Two More Valentines

Simple yet effective
Patchwork style

These two cards were made today when I was having a play. I am not as happy with the patchwork card as the other one, because it took so long and nothing seemed to finish it in the right way. You know when you get that thing (in any craft) where you keep adding bits and changing bits but it doesn't come out right! Most of these seem to end up in the bin, or, if they are jewellery, in the bead box.

I do now think it is nice, having had a break from it and seeing it again with fresh eyes. It just took too much of my time and would not be with making again.

Another Valentine

This card is almost exactly the same as the red one, but in a colour that is more manly (in my opinion).

Cards For Valentine's Day - and Tubby Thursday

I love the red one especially - it is going in my Folksy shop soon. I am aiming to make a few more tonight. They are approximately 5" x 5" and everything is handmade - right down to the seal for the envelope.
I lost two pounds at Weight Watchers this week. I did not do so well with the food and went over my points a little BUT I didn't eat really bad things. My total is now 38 pounds!

Tudor Style Bracelet

This bracelet comes from a pattern in Bead and Button magazine. I would never normally put these colours together, but I think they look stunning.

'Montana Ice'

It was a commission from my Aunt, who saw the one that I made for my Mum. Mum loves hers but I forgot to take a photo of it (doh). It was the same as this one though, so I am finally posting a picture!

Weight Watchers

I forgot to post and let you know of my most recent weigh-in. I have changed meetings to a Thursday morning as I am clerking for a former colleague (from when I was a Leader). I had not been weighed for just over three weeks and had lost 3.5 lbs - including two days off over Christmas! It took me to just over my 2.5 stone mark. I am so chuffed and it has made me even more determined to get to goal. The thought of Spring being around the corner is also keeping me going, as I must admit that the last few weeks have been hard, what with the horrible weather.

Swarovski Heart Necklace - Daisy Beaders

This was the necklace that I made at this month's 'Daisy Beaders' club. It was lovely to make, even if it was Right-Angle Weave. Those of you who know me, know that I hate R-A-W with all of my heart! The chain for it was simple and cute, and, more importantly, fairly quick to make up. I am now proudly wearing it, to test its strength, and then it will be going in my Folksy shop.

More Cards...

I am back into card-making again for a while. Some I am more happy with than others, but it is nice to be back in the card frame of mind.

Blogiversary

Today is my second blogiversary! I am really chuffed because it means that I have been making things consistently for that time.

So, raise a glass of the fizzy stuff and here's to another year!

More 'Thanks' Cards, With A Valentine...

The valentine's day one is an idea that I had today. It is a work in progress but I am aiming to adapt it tomorrow.

Another Stripy 'Cordoba' Bracelet

This time I used 3mm cube beads instead of 4mm so the bracelet has turned out narrower. The colours are hard to see (blooming winter light) but they are kind of 'egyptian' - turquoise, gold, bronze etc. I am really pleased with how it has turned out and it will be going in my Folksy shop asap.

'Thank You' Card

This is one of the cards that I am making for Max to send to people who sent him a Christmas present. I need to make 4 more and photograph the other one I have already made. Then, I have to get him to actually WRITE them! They should get them in July then...

More Things In My Folksy Shop...

HERE...

Home Weigh-in

I might have mentioned that I weighed in on my home scales before Christmas, so as to get a comparison weight afterwards. I had gained 2 pounds over the two day festive period, which I was, if not happy about, happy to accept. I definitely ate well on those two days - and by 'well' I mean badly! It was lovely to have a two-day break and I was fairly confident that I could get back on track.
I weighed myself this morning, as I am changing my meeting to Thursday mornings from this coming week, and I didn't want my loss/gain to be a surprise. I had lost the two pounds plus another one, which is fantastic news!!!

Gold and Bronze Bracelet

This has been adapted from the 'Cordoba' bracelet from Spellbound Beads. It looks fabulous on and has gone into my Folksy shop.
I really love the look of it on the wrist and have decided to give Folksy another go. Last year things got a little dark for me and I stopped believing in myself. This year is going to be more productive and happy, I hope.
Happy New Year to you all x
