I made these cards over the last few days. I have been buying rather a lot of Promarkers and playing with them. Sometimes I then feel like putting the results onto a card!

Leaving Card For Clerk

One of my Sunday morning WW clerks has had to leave, due to moving house to a village too far away :( I am very sad about it as we are a great team at that meeting. Lee has been a big part of that and I think of her as a friend. This is the card that I made for her.

At Last, Some Crafting

It seems ages since I put any photos on here. There is a reason, but I can't say what it is yet. It is taking a lot of my time and I will post photos when the recipient has got it! Meanwhile, here are a few photos.

These are the items that I sent my partner in the Pincushion Swap (see button to right, with link). I cross-stiched my own design and backed it with felt. I also made a pincushion from felt and trimmed it with beads. I particularly like this one as it is just so pretty. Finally, I sent my partner (I still don't have a blog address for her - please send me one GreyFrog) some pins and a few haberdashery items. I really hope that she likes it!

This is another card from the commission for my friend. I have this fabulous roller stamp that I have been using for a lot of the backgrounds on my latest cards. It is so beautiful.

Third Card for Friend

This one is very 'busy', but I think it works. I stitched the flower heads onto the card using cross-stitch thread.

The camera worked last night and this morning, so I have lots of pictures to post...

Firstly, and most importantly, the goodies I received from Paula. A lovely floral knitted corsage, some sweets, some fab buttons and a magazine on garden 'stuff' (I really do not have green fingers!!!) Thanks again Paula and I promise that yours will go out at some point this week...

Then, here are three cards that I made recently. The embossing folder is another Cuttlebug one and it is really versatile. It works amazingly well in my Sizzix dinosaur of a die-cutter. I also have the Swiss Dots one which is probably one of my best buys ever! I have been really into making cards this week and beads took a back seat until Friday when I had my C&G course. That always gets me back in the beady mood!

Talking of my C&G course, we did Horizontal Netting this week. We have to make a netted amulet bag as one of our final projects. I decided to use the horizontal pattern to make mine, rather than the vertical, as I just didn't seem to want to stop making my sample and didn't want to waste my efforts!

This was my first sample and I stopped because I wasn't keen on the way I had mixed my colours.




This is the sample that I eventually turned into the amulet purse. I love the transparent brown bead, with the flash of two different lilac beads.



This is that second sample, turned into an amulet bag. I haven't done the fringe or hanger yet. The fringe will have to be a 'looped' one, but apparently that can mean a variety of things other than just a plain loop, so I am contemplating what to do. This photo doesn't really do justice to the bag as it is really fluid in feel and the beads look much brighter in real life.


This is a sample of vertical netting. It is so simple to do and works up really quickly. I do love the effect, but would not wear a necklace made from it.

My Husband is Forty on Sunday...

Ha ha! Mind you, I am too soon (but in October) so I shouldn't laugh. I have arranged a lovely surprise and he has some fab presents coming. The card has his name made from Fimo, which I was quite pleased with.

Floral Cards - Well Spring HAS Sprung After All!

Today I went all floral and spring-like. I bought a flower head punch and some lovely card, so decided to put them to good use when I got home. I got a bit carried away (these are just a few of the ones I made (blush)). Again, I'm no David Bailey and they really do look better in the flesh.

TOMORROW...

Is the first day of Spring!!! Whooppeee...I love Spring. All those new leaves and flowers, better weather, a bit of warmth and everyone in a happier mood.

My Red Robin plant in the garden is sprouting a load of lovely new leaves. As soon as possible, I will post a picture of it because it really is a fantastic shrub. I am not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination, but Spring seems to bring all my primal, earth-loving feelings out!

21st BIrthday Card

This card was requested by Snowqueen (from Crafter...oo) who wanted it for a friend. The brief was 'pink and blingy', which I hope I have managed!

A5 Cards

These have been made for a friend. I was really chuffed with how the embossing folder (dots) worked in my old Sizzix machine as it was not designed by the same company.

HELP!!!

You know when you spends AGES making something and it doesn't seem to want to go right? You keep adding things to try to add that 'certain something' - eventually you finish it and just can't decide if it works or is just too horrible to see the light of day?

...is one of those projects! It is a commission for a friend and the card is going to a mutual friend of ours. Please leave me a message saying YES or NO as to whether it is a goer. Be honest too.

Talking of My Fantastic Beading Class...

Here is what I made...

It is not the exact pattern as designed by Sue Wheeler of Daisy Beads, because I didn't want to make 40 flowers and leaves! I'm a lazy mare (grin). I will be making another in pinks I think, and will probably make more flowers the next time.

I am quite pleased with this, although it is not my usual style. All the images were doodled on with black fine-liner pen.

These cards were made with the alphabet stamps that I bought in The Range. 99p for a whole alphabet...so I bought three!

The bracelet is similar to the other three. I am experimenting with different colours and hoping to sell some!!! Otherwise, I will be over-run with beautiful but unnecessary bracelets!
