Finished Odd Count Peyote

As you can see, I have made it into a keyring. It was a really nice pattern to do.

The Thursday Night Project - 16 July

OK, so I cheated a little as I made it during the day! I knew that I was going to the gym in the evening, so I finished this while Max was at school. It has literally taken me months to make as it was ordered by a friend in December (blush). She has been very patient with me though and I have finally finished it.

Another Freeform Peyote Bracelet

This was made with the beads that I had from all my cut up projects. It fits my wrist beautifully and the colours merge in a pretty way without being too samey.

The lovely Katherine at Woolly Wotnots awarded this to me. I feel really honoured and touched - thanks Katherine. Now, a lady I know from a mum forum has a fantastically witty blog, although it doesn't have anywhere NEAR enough crafting for my liking (tee hee). She is The Coffee Lady and her posts make me laugh a lot of the time. Take a look at her blog...

Another Netting Pattern - Nephertiti

I got the pattern for this from the internet. It is so much easier to understand than the last one and, once you have done a few loops, it is not necessary to refer to the pattern. You are supposed to use 4mm facets at all of the junctions, but I decided to also use 10° Toho triangles and 8° seed beads, to make the work curve more. After a section using 4mm facet beads, I decided to cut down the width and only use the triangles and larger seed beads. I really like the effect and am going to make it into a choker for my course. The earrings are already planned too, and I think the whole set will be stunning.

The Thursday Night Project - 2 July

I have been playing with netting today, for one of my course final pieces. Unfortunately, this pattern was too damned difficult to pick up easily, as it only came in diagram form. I was not as impressed with the look as I had hoped from the original picture, so I have stopped and will be keeping these pieces for samples in the write up!
